Ready Pedal Go
We have stopped taking bookings, and will resume in the spring.
Ann and Steve have skills, patience and the techniques needed to get you riding your bike. If you are looking for biking lessons for children or adults, we are who you need.
We have great empathy when teaching those who are nervous or anxious. A bike can seem quite scary, no matter how much someone says "it's easy", it doesn't look easy. But we can make it comfortable and give you confidence.
Ready Pedal Go is a small company run for the promotion and encouragement of safe cycling; and bike riding lessons for kids from 8 years, teenagers and adults - anyone from 8 to 88 or older! We are both nationally accredited, and prior to our recent retirement, were registered with the Department of Transport as Bikeability instructors. Bikeability is “cycling proficiency for the 21st century”, encouraging more people to cycle, more often, more safely.
Your children or grandchildren can "ditch the stabilisers" and learn to ride a bike with our techniques. Complete beginners can ride a bike after a couple of hours with our methods. Kids cycle lessons might be what’s needed to get the whole family riding together.
For your peace of mind we have "cycle provider activity insurance", and DBS (CRB) checks with Essex County Council and the Scout Association, and are First Aid trained.
As part of our safe cycling mandate, we want to know that your bikes are safe, comfortable and suitable. Our bike health check, and support when you want to buy a new bike will help you get the best from your bike. Come for a basic maintenance lesson or bike set‑up session and you will be more confident in caring for your bike. Look at our Dr Bike page for more details. Steve is a qualified (Cytech 2) cycle mechanic.
